Traqq privacy policy

This privacy policy applies to the Traqq mobile application, developed by Idbit and Wageningen University & Research.

Information collection and use

Traqq does not store any personal information. Additionally, all data is pseudonymized, meaning that it could only be linked back to an individual by using an external dataset.

Traqq does store the following information:

• Data that app users enter into the app. For example, nutritional intake data. This is used for scientific research aimed at understanding dietary patterns and health outcomes.
• A token that is unique to the app installation. This is used for sending push notifications.
• Technical information about the device. For example, the operating system name and version. This is used to diagnose issues, and to improve the app in future updates.

In general, this data is not shared with third parties. Some exceptions may apply, for example in case of research collaborations. If data is shared, users will be informed before their participation.

Storage terms

Data collected through Traqq is stored only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal requirements. Data used for research might be stored indefinitely in a pseudonymized form.

Security

Best practices in data security are applied during the development of the software. All data is transmitted using encrypted connections.
